Bhindi Masala Recipe
Dry bhindi masala — onion, tomato, and the right masalas. The secret is drying bhindi completely before cutting.
Ingredients
- 500g bhindi (ladyfinger), dried and cut
- 2 onions, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp amchur
- 3 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
How to Make Bhindi Masala
- Wash and DRY bhindi completely with a cloth. Cut into 1-inch pieces.
- Heat oil, add cumin. Add bhindi, sauté on medium-high 8 mins till slime is gone.
- Push bhindi to one side, add onion in same pan. Sauté 3 mins till soft.
- Add tomato, cook 3 mins. Add all spices, salt. Mix gently.
- Cook uncovered 3 mins. Finish with amchur. Serve with roti.
