How to Make Jeera Rice

  1. Wash rice, soak 15 mins. Drain.
  2. Heat ghee in a heavy pot. Add cumin, wait for it to crackle. Add bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon.
  3. Add drained rice, sauté 1 min. Add water and salt, bring to boil.
  4. Cover, cook on low 10 mins. Switch off, rest 5 mins.
  5. Fluff with fork before serving. Perfect with any dal or curry.
